APPLICATION TIPS & TRICKS

 We help with your CV!

Creating a good curriculum vitae is extremely important. It does take some effort, but it is wise to take the time for this.
Your resume can have a huge impact on whether you are invited by the company. That is why we help you put together your CV.

Personal information:

  • Personal information

Make sure you enter your personal (private) e-mail address and not the e-mail address of another employer or an inappropriate e-mail address with strange texts or characters in it. Also make sure it is a current e-mail address, which you check regularly.

  • How do I renew my subscription?

    • Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.
    • You can add a photo, but this is not mandatory. If you add a photo, ensure that it is professional and representative. Not a photo in the pub or on holiday.
    • Make sure all your personal details are entered correctly and always check everything again. In this way you avoid mistakes and in the worst case that an employer cannot contact you.
  • Personal data and preferences

    • If you already have a clear idea of the job you are looking for, you can indicate here very specifically what your preference is. That way, employers are more likely to contact you for a job that really interests you.
    • If you're not quite sure what you're looking for, you can stay pretty vague here and point out all the options that interest you.
    • Here you can indicate all provinces that are easily accessible to you. If you want to work close to home, only indicate the province in which you live.
  • cv’s

    • Make sure employers can immediately see your contact details and that they are clearly displayed. This way, interested companies can contact you immediately if they find your resume interesting.
    • Provide a clear structure and alignment. If it looks structurally good with a clear structure, it indicates that you are orderly.
    • With a nice one-liner you can distinguish yourself from other applicants. You can make clear in one sentence what you are looking for. Think carefully about a motivated, attractive phrase that employers can't miss! Originality is very important

Education and Work:

  • Education and training

    • Here you indicate specifically what you have studied or what your current education is. Enter here all diplomas that are relevant to the job you are currently looking for. If you have completed higher education, you certainly do not need to mention your primary school.
    • The continuation of this page is also very important. State clearly what you are actually looking for. Be sure to pay enough attention to this, because with this information you can distinguish yourself from other job seekers who have the same diplomas.
    • Indicate what your specialties are. For example, if you have worked a lot in groups due to your education, you can indicate that you are a team player or that you have good experiences with working together with other students.
    • Be sure to include your personality traits that are relevant to the position. For example, a bookkeeper can state that he is accurate.
  • Work experience

    • Do not simply list your work experience, but also use this part of your CV to distinguish yourself from other candidates. For example, you can list tasks from previous jobs that prove that you are the right candidate for a certain job type.
    • Some experiences are not worth mentioning. For example, picking strawberries for a month or helping out in an office for 3 weeks, unless this proves that you are the right candidate.
    • It is important to provide sufficient information about your work experience. If you already have a lot of experience, you should pay particular attention to your most relevant work experience.
  • Language knowledge and skills

    • What are your strengths? You can emphasize them even more in this chapter. Clearly state what you are good at. This is of course very important information for employers.
    • By providing a good overview of your competencies, you also distinguish yourself from other candidates. It is therefore worth mentioning all important knowledge.

Another golden tip:

As a job seeker, it is important that your CV is up-to-date. Therefore, update your CV regularly, for example when you have learned to use a new tool.
